Can't attend the Kids' Conference in person but have a great project you'd like to share?
Since 2012 the Kids' Conference has welcomed virtual presentations from Australian schools and beyond and just some examples are shared here. In 2016 representatives from Eichstätt University attended the Kids' Conference and returned to Germany to start their own version of the Kids' Conference. Students in this conference sent their virtual presentations as films to be shown at the 2017 Melbourne Kids' Conference
Trinity School in Berkshire UK has been a long-term participant in the Kids' Conference. In 2018 their senior students looked at mapping technologies as part of their geography field studies for A-levels.
Interest in the Kids' Conference
has gone global.
As Conference convenor, Stephen has been invited to present to academic conferences, including Conferences in Oxford in 2016 and 2017, the International Conference on Education at Sofia University in Bulgaria in 2018 and California State University Fullerton in 2019.
In 2018 the Kids' Conference connected with an initiative at Westminster Primary Schools in Perth to show their short film of how to get into digital publishing!
If your school would like to participate through a virtual presentation at one of the Kids' Conferences hosted in Australia and/or share a great project with others via our Kids' Cloud platform, please be in touch and tell us a little about you, your school and your project.
